This is an area that has been preserved since the Tenryo period. There are two main streets that run parallel, and are perfect for a stroll. Here you can find lots of older style buildings and shops. There is a sake brewery museum, traditional sweet shops, places to buy handmade getta, pottery, and other crafts. You can also find local produce in the form of salad dressings, rice cakes, or even pear liqueur.
