In lieu of rising tensions between the United States and the Democratic People`s Republic of Korea, the Japanese government has compiled a series of countermeasures to ensure civilian safety and prevent loss of life.
The Civilian Protection Law is as follows: The civilian protection law is set in place to ensure the safety of Japanese citizens in the event of any aggressive action by a hostile nation. In accordance with this we will set about to implement measures which set about cooperation between every level of government to ensure that loss of life and property are kept at the most miniscule of levels.

Appropriate action to take during the event of a missile strike:
In the event of an incoming missile, various governmental agencies will transmit information to affected regions via J アラート (National Alert System)
Alarms and sirens will sound outside, and cellular phones will receive air mail messages, and updates will be sent through emergency messages. When a message has been received, please make sure to listen for any updates via television or radio station. Please act accordingly, and follow any and all governmental orders/edicts There`s a short window of time from when a ballistic missile launches, and its moment of touchdown. Please take following precautions:
Take refuge in, or near a solid/sturdy building, or go underground if possible. If neither of these options is available, then drop to the ground and take cover.
If inside, please stay away from windows, or move to a room where there are no windows.
Things that civilians can do in case of an emergency:
Take part in any sponsored training available that is related to disaster preparation.
If you see, or witness, any suspicious person or activity please contact the police.
Help the elderly/injured in times of evacuation.
Make sure that emergency provisions are stored in your domicile, and assist workers in distributing rations
Follow the orders of all safety officers
If outside please follow any evacuation orders and proceed to designated evacuation center.
