Starting from August of 2016, the Oita JETs website is now under the management of Oita AJET. We will continue to use the site to provide JETs the most current information and advice we can. On behalf of everyone, I would like to send a big thank you to the ORCs who put in a lot of effort and love into this site. I know that it has helped many people, myself included! Even though you all have moved on from the JET programme, we will continue to remember all of your contributions here! All the best~
~Mary S (President of Oita AJET 2016)

other contributors
Scott K. (ALT 2013~2015) After visiting Japan for the first time in 2010, and later working as a journalist in the Japanese Canadian community, I decided to return in 2013 for a more permanent visit. Living in Japan has not only afforded me an opportunity to delve deeper into my cultural background, but has also spoiled me with delicious food, an endless supply of photos, and the best convenience stores in the world.

I was brought to Japan by a love for the language, culture and landscapes, and have been kept here by that plus the warmth of the people I have met.
